The FR2000 shares the beacon signal between the XAP dash and the data logger. This caused some problems so Aim developed a special beacon reciever for the purpose.
Please note that these EV0 3 and Evo 4 systems also required an amplifier to boost the signal - available from this web site.
The idenfication for this reciever is that is a basic square shape with a red cover.
Output is a simple squaure wave makes this suitable for many other data systems
